2019 resolution: The year of slow and no

Updated: May 13, 2019

Did anyone else overindulge during Christmas 🙋🏼‍♀️

I've eaten my weight in dessert and I don't feel bad about it whatsoever 🤷🏼‍♀️ I've committed to doing whatever it is that makes me feel good these holidays, and if that includes eating Mum's left over trifle for days, well that's what I'm going to do 🍒

2018 has been a rollercoaster, my most intense, stressful, yet exhilarating year yet. My health has suffered and a strong message that kept resurfacing was to slow down. But the only time I found the brakes was when they were burnt out 🔥

So I gave myself a deadline to wrap up all loose ends - life admin, business, responsibilities etc. and not open my laptop again until the new year. What is urgent is now done (that includes my final 3am emails last night 🤦🏼‍♀️) and now it's time for me to take the longest break I've had since becoming a business owner - every holiday I've taken in the last 3 years or so has included work in some capacity. And I'm exhausted. Notifications are off, life is paused and I'm allowing this next week to do sweet F.A. saying a big fat NO to anything that feels like an obligation or doesn't make me feel good. 2019 is the year of the No and Slow. I say No all the time (it's my favourite word) but I fail to tell MYSELF no, to just stop and take it slow 🍃 here's to slow 🐌 I'll see you in 2019, with new brake pads, an overflowing tank of fuel and a recharged battery⚡#slow
