JOGA YOGA

yoga instructor, entrepreneur, dream chaser

Hey there

I'm Joga Yoga, but you can call me Jo

I'm a fun loving, dream chasing, girl-boss and yoga instructor from Canberra, currently residing in Bali enjoying a tropical paradise.

I'm passionate about health and wellbeing and have found myself on a mission to find creative ways to get every body to the mat with unique programs and classes for the Canberra community when I'm back in town.

I host variety of different yoga events including Goat Yoga, SUP yoga, Float Yoga and Bend + Beers. To show you that getting bendy can be fun and to help you experience yoga in a way that you wouldn't usually try, getting you outside of that comfort zone!

When I'm not teaching yoga or hosting workshops, you can find me with my girl-boss hat on, growing my business Salti, Australia's floating fitness mat. If you haven't been to a class yet, you have to try one! It's the ultimate way to get your body moving. It's fun, light hearted and a great challenge for the body and the mind.

You can often find me enjoying coffee at local cafes, discovering the perfect smoothie bowl or eating avo on toast (breakfast is my fave), enjoying craft beer around town, SUP'ing on the lake or coast and exploring Australia in my campervan with my partner #vanlife

I'm currently enjoying tropical paradise in Bali, where life is pretty similar as above, except it's surfing and riding our scooter around the island.

Before my yoga life, in between travelling, I wore many hats in federal government positions and private companies, from marketing and advertising management, business management, events and my last professional role investigating pharmaceutical crime. But nothing felt quite right. I've always had a mindset where I've wanted to live a free and fulfilling life, surrounded by other like-minded people.

So I spent  a good chunk of my 20's (as most people do!) searching for what felt true to me. I discovered yoga while travelling and completed my training in 2016. In 2017, I farewelled my secure job and income and took a leap to create a life I want to live and began to work for myself. It's not easy, but it's certainly fun. If you'd have asked me 5 years ago is this where I saw my future, I would have said no, but yoga has opened up so many doors, opportunities and it's been life changing. I wouldn't have it any other way.
