Ready for version 2.0?

Strength + Balance 2.0 takes elements from my original Strength + Balance (S+B) and blends it with shorter sessions featuring dynamic yoga inspired poses, functional movement and core strengthening activities that will make a splash. This program is designed for you to become complete lost in 30 minutes of fun activities that will test your mind, your breath and your body, while keeping you fully present, focused and ready to face the challenges ahead. 

This is not considered a yoga class. But it is a way to find your yoga. Yoga is different for every body and this program is designed to free your mind from fear and limitations, from thinking about your past or your future, from holding onto how things are supposed to be or to look like and to give yourself permission to be 110% fully in the present moment - to have fun, to let loose, to laugh (lovingly!) at yourself and your team mates. It will uncover compassion towards yourself and others as you support one another through the 6 weeks. It will give you strength to put a stop to negative thought patterns (you've got this!) and it will allow you to get honest with yourself and to understand and accept your limitations, strengths and your emotions. It won't be easy and it's not for the faint hearted! But it will be fun! 

This program gets you outside of your comfort zone which is the fastest way to peel back your layers to the real you and overcome the challenges. You'll channel your willpower, your determination and experience focused concentration that can be hard to come by. It will become your yoga. You will find your breath, your body and your mind. This equals yoga. And best of all, you'll have fun.

What makes this program different to S+B 1.0? You'll be thrown straight in the deep-end (literally and figuratively!). Week one will include some basic fundamentals, but this program is heading straight into finding your balance and strength, immediately. 


Oh and the pool is 28 degrees! And it's open to anyone - if you are new to yoga and to Float, you are totally welcome!


Just like version 1.0 - Expect your cheeks to hurt

Am I talking about your glutes or your face? I guess now that I think of it, probably both.

But no, what I'm referring to is your face. Expect to have fun, laugh, play and let your hair down.


Our sessions will be light hearted, and you'll leave feeling good, filled with endorphins

You'll get out of your comfort zone - you'll face fears and challenges

In your first session we'll dive straight in to the water, so arriving 5 minutes before the class starts is important. Session one will be exploring fundamentals, falling, climbing back on and finding your balance on the Floats. Each session will see you stretch your body and your mind, your heart rate will increase with the dynamic yoga and functional movements that will be offered to you, the movement will heat your body and you'll feel your muscles burn. Each session will include activities designed for you to get in the water, this will include a variety of balance challenges and circuits. 


You'll be gifted an essential oil roller ball blend (made from the highest quality oils) to take home and keep. This is for you to apply after your session, which will assist in calming your body and your mind down. Then you can end your night listening to your guided relaxation meditation that will be available to you in the exclusive Facebook group. The guided meditation can be listened to whenever you want to calm your body and your mind down and is yours to have lifetime access to. 


The day after each Float session, you have the option to enjoy an at-home gentle yoga practice to help your body rest and recover from the session. The yoga video incorporates movements and stretches to compliment the 6 week program and it is designed for you to chill out and also see the progress of your own strength, balance and flexibility.

  • 6 x 30 minute workshops (one per week) exploring your own strength and balance with physical movement to strengthen, lengthen and tone muscles that don't often get attention

  • Optional home practises to help you build your strength and balance off the Float

This program is perfect for you if...

  • You have no injuries or health concerns

  • You're looking for a new way to move your body and develop your strength in a fun environment 

  • You want to be surrounded by positivity and others who support you

  • You love a good challenge and one that helps you stay motivated and focused 

  • You are comfortable in the deep end of a swimming pool and can swim 25 metres 

  • You have the strength to pull yourself up onto a platform/pool edge (there will be lots of moving to different Floats in the water, so you need to be able to climb onto Floats in the deep end 

  • You're happy to get wet (there will not be a single workshop where you'll stay dry!) 

  • You're over 18 or accompanied by a parent or guardian


For safety reasons, this program is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant or recently had a baby. You must receive clearance from your doctor to participate if you have recently given birth.

What to wear

​Wear anything that makes you feel comfortable. This can be colourfast activewear or modest/sports swimwear.
