July 27- 29 July 2018

The Woods Jervis Bay

Treat yourself this winter with a weekend of fun

How are you spending your winter days? Are you finding yourself already retreating? Are you craving some fun?

Well my friend, I've got your back. We're in for a treat.

Join me for 2 days and 2 nights in the stunning setting at The Woods Jervis Bay, where we'll indulge in delicious food and wine, practice yoga daily, enjoy a wine tasting session followed by a vino vinyasa, practical workshops on aromatherapy and our overall wellbeing, relaxation meditation and, drum roll please, Goat Yoga, followed by as much time as you like feeding the goats! And to entice you even more, there's been a couple of new baby Goats born at the Woods in the last couple of weeks!

Where we'll rest our heads

Glamping village

Our luxury accommodation

Have you ever been Glamping? Not camping, this is glamping. Because it is G-L-A-M! Each waterproof canvas bell tent will be pitched and ready and waiting for you.

Your accommodation is twin share and you'll have your own luxurious and super cozy single bed (yes, a real bed, pillows, blankets and mattress) to melt into each night. And when I say cozy, I mean it. I recently stayed here and I felt like I was on a cloud!

All linen and towels are provided. They are all beautifully furnished with authentic Turkish patch work rugs, gorgeous velvetine cushions, beautiful throw rugs, a table and two deck chairs, an armchair or lounge, and some cute little touches.

These little touches include extra blankets and hot water bottles so you'll stay nice and toasty!

I know the thought of Glamping can be alarming during winter, but you'll have nothing to worry about. I've got your back. There'll be fire pits across our Glamp site to cuddle up around, plus all of the warmth inside each bell tent. I'm a lover of the great outdoors (#vanlife) so trust me, I know what cold is (I am a Canberran afterall) and you'll be FINE!

As Glampers, we have our amenities block, with clean tiled showers, with super hot water, flushing toilets, toilet paper etc. The bathroom is even stocked with all the necessities like dry shampoo, cotton tips, deo and perfumes if you'd rather not shower ;)

The finer details

Your weekend of treats

Your weekend Treat is in the beautiful Jervis Bay, an easy 2.5 hour drive from Canberra, or 3 hours from Sydney.

The Woods Farm is a luxurious unique country property located on 40 acres of serene bushland in Jervis Bay, just 2 minutes to the waters edge of St Georges basin.  The property gives you the chance to interact with farm animals such as miniature goats and horses, chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks, alpacas, mini cows, ponies and horese! And as well as the farm animals there is a local mob of 100 kangaroos that call the property home. There are yard games, giant chess, big jenga and a bocce court, bikes to enjoy on or off the property! There is a secret garden path to weave through, and a crafts caravan hidden in there somewhere, a swimming pool. Plus a day spa!

Your accommodation is based on twin share, with two single beds per bell tent. If you come with a friend, I'll be sure to partner you together. Private tents are available for an extra cost (see below). Your bell tent comes with everything you need, linen, towels, pillows, hot water bottles and plenty of comfort. The Glamping village has it's own ammenities block, with hot showers, toilets plus a few extras in case you forget anything!

Now... If you really want to come but you reallllly don't want to Glamp, let me know. There are cabins available that I can arrange if needed for an additional fee.

- an afternoon of vino vinyasa

- our last session will be a Goat Yoga session followed by feeding the goats

Please note you will need to bring your yoga mat

What to pack

This is Glamping in winter, so you want to make sure you have enough warm clothes. Although we will have the fires going to keep you nice and toasty, you should still pack for warmth. Here's a list of essentials:

  • Your yoga mat

  • A warm jacket (preferably waterproof)

  • Enclosed shoes

  • Gum boots, slippers or your uggs for added comfort (I'll be packing both!)

  • Active wear for our yoga sessions

  • Comfy clothes to wear if you want to get changed out of your active clothes (although, totally fine if you want to stay in them!) such as jeans, trackies, jumpers and any other layers (the fire will keep you warm, so you want to be able to strip the layers back as needed)

  • Warm PJs - I like to wear leggings with long socks and long sleeved jumper, plus a dressing gown or a cardie (I know, how attractive!)

  • Your swimmers if you feel like braving the beach or the pool

  • Your toiletries (ladies there are a couple of mirrors too so if you like to style your hair, or put some make-up on you can)

  • Something to read during your down time if you like
